Optimized for CDS
Not all CD players are created equal, most being developed for computers or other multimedia. The PD-10AE however is specially designed for reliable, low-noise CD sampling, ensuring precise re-creation of the original artists’ recordings.
Less vibration, crisp audio
The PD-10AE has been developed with a center mounted drive for a more rigid platform which means less vibration. Additionally, the base of the CD player is made with a torsion-resistant sheet steel chassis, for a crisp audio experience.
Large capacity EL transformer
The PD-10AE comes equipped with a large-scale power supply, and a converter board featuring the modern AKM-DAC 4482VT with a high-precision clock pulse: a mere ±10ppm deviation from the nominal value. This is ideal for a precisely focused, natural sound.
Auto standby
Auto standby can be enabled to automatically turn off the receiver after being left uncontrolled.

I have always been a fan of Pioneer. When it comes to an inexpensive CD player, this one can't beat it. It's a no-frills single disc player, everything I need. Bought it to replace a 25 year old Sony CD player. It is impressively sized, with a fair amount of heft. Could do with a headphone jack, and the "Pure direct" mode doesn't seem to improve the sound much - there's a noticeable drop in volume. Otherwise, it does what it's supposed to do - it plays compact discs clearly, without skips or distortion. The remote control works well.
