Klipsch Reference powered speakers deliver room-filling sound without taking up much space thanks to a built-in amplifier that is custom-engineered for these high-performance speakers, maximizing output and sound quality. With integrated phono pre-amp, Bluetooth wireless technology, digital optical, analog RCA and USB inputs, you can finally say goodbye to your clunky A/V receiver.
Plays well with others
Whether you connecting to a turntable, television, computer, cell phone, whatever – these powered speakers work with anything. Equipped with an integrated phono pre-amp, Bluetooth wireless technology, digital optical, analog RCA and USB inputs, making these powered speakers your new best friend.
Dynamic bass EQ
As the human ear perceives frequencies differently with variations in output, Klipsch Reference powered speakers will dynamically match the ear’s ability to hear lower frequencies. Typically, only available with audio/video receivers, dynamic volume is a first for Klipsch powered monitors. What you get is powerful bass whether the listening volume is low, cranked up or somewhere in between.
Custom-tuned amplification
Reference powered speakers leverage independent, ultra-low noise amplifiers that are custom designed to maximize system performance and eliminate the need for external amplification. That means that world-class Klipsch engineers have full control of the signal path.
Tractrix horn technology
Klipsch exclusive 90x90º Tractrix horn technology ensures that the speaker high-frequency energy is aimed at the listener and reduces artificial reverb or filtering caused by indirect sound bouncing off of walls. Using this proprietary focused technology gives you the best clarity, dynamics, and detail from your movies and music.
Linear travel suspension tweeter
Klipsch exclusive Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) aluminum tweeter minimizes distortion for enhanced, detailed performances. Using Kapton, an extremely light and rigid material, in the tweeter suspension provides high efficiency and improves resolution and detail. LTS tweeters are a hallmark of Klipsch speakers, making them some of the best speakers in the world.
Spun copper IMG woofers
Injection Molded Graphite (IMG) woofer cones are exceptionally light while being extremely rigid – providing remarkable low frequency response, with minimal cone breakup and distortion. When paired with the Tractrix Horn-Loaded LTS Tweeter, it provides speaker efficiency highest in its class.
Sleek design
Exposed fasteners, low profile magnetic grilles and a scratch-resistant, textured wood grain vinyl give these powered bookshelf speakers a polished, modern appearance.
Seamless subwoofer integration
The Reference powered speakers include a sub-out line that allow you to seamlessly add a subwoofer to your stereo system to enhance low frequencies even further.

Excellent transmission of high and medium frequencies. Excellent detail on low and medium volume. I purchased 40 kV2 for the room, I initially thought that they would not open on such an area, but the experiences were in vain (I don?t listen to the music loudly). In this price category of active shelf column, this is a great example of price and quality ratio. Low cleanliness with an increase in volume create a "porridge", the issue was decided by connecting the subwoofer. These columns are sensitive to the quality of the recording (the mouthpiece emphasizes all the defects of the audio road, each dust is heard), when using without a subwoofer, they are not quite suitable for modern music with emphasis on the bass, in my ear this acoustics are suitable for rocks, jazz, folk, and sulk. I plan to purchase a Klipsch R-8SW Black subwoofer

Pros
Great sound after setting
Cons
Disgusting sound from the box
Review
This is not the first time I notice on different acoustics that the sound out of the box is a continuous disappointment. Klipsch R-51PM was no exception. Without the use of an equalizer, this stereo just sounds like multimedia for 3-5 thousand rubles. Only after a prolonged fit of sound the equalizer began to sound very worthy. It even began to wonder how such babies can play some compositions so wonderful. Rock, metal plays well. In a large room for complete immersion in the stage there is not enough subs. In the small room, Klipsch R-51PM will be "hammering" well with a reservation to their size. The finish of the boxes with a film was a little disappointed. In some places there are stripes similar to scratches. But if you look closely, no, the film lay down. But. I hope I was not handed to me once a return.

Pros
Pleasant, voluminous and saturated bass for such a size and price. Warm sound. The design and quality of the assembly and materials (purely externally, did not climb inside).
Cons
On many compositions, vocals are lost, becomes inexpressive and goes into the background.
Review
I was looking for budget high-fi acoustics for connecting to a computer. He chased these speakers for two weeks at home and returned to the store. I got the impressions of dual. On the one hand, they definitely have their own merits, which I wrote about in the pluses. Some compositions sound very pleasant and juicy, everything regarding low and low-medium frequencies pleased me, but perhaps there is even a small skew in this direction. I think it is quite suitable for metal, heavy rock and modern music, which should "download" (of course, a separate subwoofer will win here, but still). But many of my favorite compositions disappointed me on this acoustics: the song begins, everything sounds juicy and saturated, but the vocals come in and you feel disappointment, because you don?t feel it, it seems to be in the background. Of course, connecting active speakers to a computer with a standard sound card is far from the best system, but nevertheless, comparing these columns with others later, I noticed that it can be better to cope with the same compositions.
Bottom line: I think this acoustics have every chance of finding its listener, as it has quite a few advantages, but my very diverse taste and the playlist did not fit. I will choose something from a more expensive segment.
The quality of the service and the variety of the assortment Pult.ru was completely satisfied, the store can safely advise.

A weak built -in phono -corrector
Review
Many thanks to Pult.ru employees in Krasnoyarsk, they helpfully helped with the choice! Acoustics is quite satisfied, the sound is very pleasant, bass, the guitar sounds perfect. The only decent minus is a built -in phono -corrector, in plans to replace with an external one. But in general, I am very pleased with the purchase, I use it with vinyl Project T1
