The sound, compared with my old HD419, is strikingly different for the better. Perhaps the box should warm up from the box, but even from the box the sound (in my opinion) turned out to be more detailed and airy than Neumann NDH 20 and Sennheiser HD 660S. Surprisingly, low audibility for others due to openness of the structure. I listen to the Sound Blasterx AE-5. The card pulls 470 Ohms. I recommend buying.
