I like that the PT1 includes a tuner for FM radio, configurable for US or Europe and provides Autotune. Autotune rapidly scans the spectrum and assigns stations to presets. The display on the PT1 has three things I really like. First the blue display color is pleasant, second it is dimmable, and I especially like that the display automatically shuts off after about 5 seconds. From a user’s perspective I have no hesitation recommending the Emotiva equipment.
Pros
I'm not much of an audiophile so I'm going to focus more of the features and UI, but it does sound amazing as expected from Emotiva.

The volume bar shows up in 4k now; you don't have to open the menu and close it to get it to re-navigate hdr content; the EMO-Q works; the remote is nicer; connecting directly to PC over usb has been on my wish-list for years; display is much more readable I highly recommend this product, can't beat it for the price!
Pros
the sound is great, very clear
Cons
There is lack of analog inputs

It looсks really well done. The TA1 frm Emotiva is worth a careful look. It has a DAC and the sound is great, very clear. There's an MM/MC phono stage, a crossover for the subwoofer, an FM tuner. I've been using the TA1 for about 3 months and I like it absolutely. If I have to nitpick, I'm lacking a couple more analog inputs. But my general impression is a five-star DAC.
Emotiva asked a simple question: “Why can’t we have amazing audio and video sound at prices that don’t threaten our mortgage?”
As high-end audio chased an ever-shrinking market with ever-more-costly gear, the price of sonic nirvana shot out of reach. New enthusiasts shook their heads and thought, “You know, a soundbar and a receiver may not be that bad.”
At the same time high-end audio prices were climbing, Dan Laufman and his team were helping some of the best names in audio manufacture their gear. Dan saw the inefficiencies in the system and the ever-climbing prices, and decided to do something about it.
